Every neighborhood has its own story — and in Cypress Hill, that story is one of resilience, pride, and community spirit. We were thrilled to join forces with Citi, Phipps, and Cypress Hill Local Development Corp to host the fourth On Our Block® by MoCaFi activation, creating space for families and neighbors to learn, connect, and grow together.
Over the course of the day, residents discovered how rent reporting can transform everyday rent payments into credit-building opportunities, gaining tools and confidence to shape their financial futures and take steps toward long-term stability, including the dream of homeownership.
What We Experienced Together
- Credit Building and Financial Education Workshop: As part of Citi’s Affordable Housing Resident Initiative to connect affordable housing residents with access to rent reporting, banking services, credit education and more, Citi led an engaging financial education session. The session covered credit building, why it matters , and how rent reporting can become a foundation for stronger financial health.
- Community Resources & Support: Phipps and Cypress Hill Local Development Corp shared information about local programs and services that help families achieve stability and opportunity across education, employment, and financial readiness.
- Family and Community Connection: Residents and neighbors came together to celebrate Cypress Hill, share experiences, and strengthen the bonds that make a neighborhood thrive.
